THE SOURCE

The recipe survives.

On the walls of the temple of Horus at Edfu, in the chamber the priests used as a laboratory, the recipes for the temple incense were cut into stone. Kyphi is among them. The materials, the order they were added, the proportions.

Kyphi is built from that record. Sesen and Medjay are not transcriptions. They are new work, made from the same materials, in the same form.
